'The UK-Rwanda partnership' event was held at the University of Leeds

The White Rose Collaboration fund and partnership is led by Dr Joe Turner (York) and also by Dr Lucy Mayblin (Sheffield lead) and Professor Demir (CERS, Leeds lead). The partnership focuses on 'The UK-Rwanda partnership as the ‘end of asylum’: Externalising borders, offshoring and resistance’.

The second event of the White Rose Network on the UK-Rwanda partnership took place at the University of Leeds on 7 September 2023 following its initial meeting at the University of Sheffield in March 2023. The theme of the second event held on 7 September 2023 at the University of Leeds was 'Colonial Histories of Externalisation and Offshoring'. The third event is being planned to take place at the University of York.
